How to Scan your PC for threats
The purpose of this KB is to walk users through the steps to run a PC scan using the built in tool provided by TeamLogic called "OpenText" (Previously "Webroot"). This will effectively scan your whole PC for any threats and if a threat is found it will quarantine it and notify you. If you find a threat using this tool, please contact Michael DeSantis or TeamLogic immediately!
- Find the Webroot/OpenText tool icon in your system tray at the bottom right of your desktop/taskbar

Alternatively you can also search for the app called "OpenText Core Endpoint Protection" using your Taskbar's search bar.

- Right click the icon in your system tray/taskbar and select "Scan Now"

Alternatively, if you searched for the app using your desktop search bar, click the app and select Scan Now once it loads:

NOTE: This view also shows your last scan in case you want to know how long it has been since your last scan. - Allow the "Scanning for malware" page to complete:

- Results will be provided once the progress bar is finished:

- DONE!
IMPORTANT: If your scan completes and says it found malicious items/files, please disconnect your PC from the internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and then contact your IT Contact (Michael DeSantis - Michael@impactdf.org) IMMEDIATELY.
