How to change display resolution for monitors

The purpose of this article is to walk users through the steps of changing your display resolution. You will sometimes need this if your monitors look different after an update or if the monitor suddenly looks blurry or unclear.

  1. Open Windows Display Settings by searching for it in your windows search bar:

  2. Click "Identify" to show numbers on your screens to identify the monitor with the issues (If you know which monitor is having issues, skip this step)

  3. Click on the monitor that is having the issues or that you would like to change the resolution on.

  4. Scroll down to "Display Resolution" and use the dropdown to select a new resolution. 1920 x 1080 is the recommended for most monitors IDF uses/provides. However, if this does not look clear enough for you, you may choose another resolution to test.

  5. Done!
