How to connect to VPN

The purpose of this KB is to walk users through how to connect to the VPN while working remotely or Out of Office (This is not a troubleshooting guide). If you are having issues connecting to or using the VPN, please refer to the KB Located HERE.
Note: you WILL NOT need to connect to VPN while you are in office. If you attempt to do so, it may fail or cause connection issues.

  1. Open the "Global VPN Client" by searching for it in your windows search bar:

(Note: it may be already open and in your system tray which you can find by clicking the carrot icon at the bottom right of your desktop [See image below])
  2. Make sure you see a connection named "IDF VPN" or Peer called "162.142.63.109". If this window is empty, please reach out to IT for assistance in getting this added.

  3. Click ENABLE and a window will pop-up asking for credentials. Enter in your windows login credentials (Same you use to log into Microsoft apps or your desktop) and hit OK
  4. A 3rd and final window will pop-up asking for your "Microsoft Verification Code"
  5. Navigate to your Microsoft Authenticator App in your mobile device (If you have not set this up, please do this first by following THIS KB)
  6. Tap your connection for work that you named "Impact Development Fund" or that has your work email below the name.
  7. On-Screen will be a "One-Time Password Code" that is 6 digits (Example: 123 456) Use this for the "Password" in the verification window and hit OK

  8. DONE!
