How to force a sync to Active Directory (General Troubleshooting)
The purpose of this KB is to walk users through forcing an Active Directory Sync. This can resolve many issues including issues accessing network resources, your PC's time/date not showing correctly, your password not updating after changing your password and more!
IMPORTANT: If you work remotely, you must first connect to the VPN before attempting the steps below. If you are in office, you must be connected to the Wi-Fi (YPOP14) or Ethernet/Wired.
- Open the Command Prompt by searching for it in your windows search bar

- In the pop-up window, type the following:
gpupdate /force
and hit ENTER. - Allow the window to think and process which can sometimes take 10-15min. if successful you will get a message like shown below:

- DONE!
If these steps do not resolve your issues, please notify IT so we can assist you with additional troubleshooting!
