How to manually verify Docusign Documents

The purpose of this article is to walk users through the steps to verify a DocuSign Document sent via email as legitimate without clicking any potentially unsafe links. Please use this guide if you are unsure if the email is legitimate and want to double check or verify its authenticity.

  1. Navigate to Docusign.com
  2. Click "Access Documents" from the top right corner of this web page:


  3. Return to your email you received and without clicking any links, locate the 32 Digit Security Code under "Alternate Signing Method" in the email:


  4. Return to the "Access Documents" Page and enter in the 32 Digit Security Code then hit "Continue":


  5. If the email is legitimate, it will request that you sign in, or will open the documents to view them.

  6. DONE!
