How to Download and Install the Microsoft Authenticator App

The purpose of this KB is to walk users through the process of downloading the Microsoft Authenticator App and logging into the company portal. The Microsoft Authenticator app is used for multiple work apps and features like VPN, Office 365 and more.

  1. Download the Microsoft Authenticator App to your Mobile Device using your designated app shop (Google Play Store, Apple App Store, etc.)
    1. Microsoft has details for the supported platforms and links to the store apps HERE
  2. Open the Authenticator App and select the "+" icon at the top. 
  3. Select "Work or School Account"
  4. Select "Sign In"
  5. Enter in your Microsoft Credentials (Example: Michael@impactdf.org - Password: Same as your desktop sign-in)
  6. Continue through the prompts and choose "Allow" or "Continue" until you get a success message.
    1. If asked to "Name" your connection, please put "Impact Development Fund"
  7. DONE!
